Google to fix blog noise problem | The Register
This was posted 9th May 2003 - so I wonder what the latest views on this article are? Basicly the article is about Google removing Blogs from the main search and giving them a tab of their own. Similar to the search groups tab.
Obviously it didn't happen in a hurry, but do people still think it will happen? I can see the validity of the argument, but on the other hand I have come accross very interesting items in blogs after doing a search... to achieve the same results I would have to do two searches in future... which is fine I suppose but will others do two searches also?
Surely there must be a better solution then simply removing blogs from main searches, I mean they are widely used now as a content management system for small or not-so-small companies... so while a solution as described in this article would reduce noise, wouldn't it also eliminate some valid search returns?
